What are dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers are a gel-like substance that is injected under the skin to add volume back that is lost due to the natural aging process. They are an effective treatment for smoothing out fine lines, creases, folds and wrinkles and correcting asymmetry. They are also commonly used to achieve personal aesthetic preferences.
Do injections hurt?
Some areas may be uncomfortable. For client comfort, we do offer topical and local anaesthetic.
What kind of dermal fillers do you use?
We carry and use several brands of dermal fillers. During your consultation we will determine which one will be best suited to achieve your desired goals.
Are consultations required?
A consultation is always required before any treatment can occur.
How long do treatments take?
Treatments are quick, taking 15 to 30 minutes. Treatment time does depend on the area(s) being treated. Full appointments are often 45 minutes, and a consultation is required prior to any treatment.
When will I start to see results?
Results are immediate although most clients experience swelling. Final results are visible at 2 weeks.
How long do results last?
Results vary with each client. Dermal filler results can last between 6-24 months. Longevity is related to the client, the area treated and the filler that is selected during your consultation. Pease discuss this with your injector to have a better understanding of the longevity of your specific brand of filler.
What is the recovery time?
Each client and injection site recovers differently. Swelling, redness and bruising varies and may be present for up to 2 weeks. Please discuss this with your injector during your consultation.
Can anyone receive dermal fillers?
During your consultation we will go over all the contraindications and determine if this treatment is safe and the right treatment for you.
