How does Microchanneling work?
Microchanneling is a minimally invasive skin treatment that creates hundreds of thousands of clean, uniform, and consistent ‘microchannels’ in the skin. It stimulates the body’s natural healing process which generates collagen and elastin, the building blocks of healthy skin. We use ProCell Therapies’ microchanneling technology (designed by Dermatologist, Dr. Mitchell Schwartz), because it has a linear stamping technique. This technique is less abrasive which means our clients experience less inflammation, heal quicker and achieve desired results in fewer treatments.
Are consultations required?
A consultation is always required before treatment can occur.
Does treatment hurt?
The level of discomfort varies with each client. Some areas can be more uncomfortable than others and the depth of microchanneling plays a role in the discomfort experienced. While this is a minimally invasive treatment, topical anesthetic may be used to aid in client comfort.
How long do treatments take?
Treatments are quick, taking 15 to 30 minutes. Treatment time does depend on the area(s) being treated. Full appointments are often 45 minutes, and a consultation is required prior to any treatment.
What is the recovery time?
While some clients do not experience any downtime, the typical recovery time after one of our Procell microchanneling treatments is 60-90 minutes. Overall, recovery time differs from person to person and can depend on the size and number of areas being treated.
How many treatments do I need to get results?
The number of treatments depend on the specific skin issue being treated and the size of the treatment area. A consultation is required to determine the optimal number of sessions needed to achieve the desired results.
