What are sclerotherapy treatments?
Our sclerotherapy treatments use a saline solution which is injected directly into the spider veins through a very fine needle. This causes the vein walls to swell and seal together. Blood flow stops within them, which makes the treated spider veins fade over weeks and months.
Are consultations required?
A consultation is always required before treatment can occur.
Does sclerotherapy treatment hurt?
The level of discomfort differs from person to person. Some patients do not feel any discomfort, while others may feel a slight burning or stinging sensation during treatment. Some bruising may occur post treatment.
How long do treatments take?
Treatments are quick, taking 15 to 30 minutes. Treatment time does depend on the number of spider veins being treated. Full appointments are often 45 minutes, and a consultation is required prior to any treatment.
When will I start to see results?
Results depend on the number of veins being treated and how large they are. Clients typically see results within a few weeks to a few months.
What is the recovery time after treatment?
Recovery time differs from person to person. Your injector will discuss this with you during your consultation, but most daily activities can be resumed immediately.
How many treatments do I need?
A consultation is required to determine the ideal number of treatments needed for the desired results. Treatments are often 2 weeks apart. This could change depending on a client’s personal skin conditions. In some situations, a single treatment may only be needed for desired results.
How long do results last?
Spider vein treatment can be permanent for some while it can be temporary for others. There are many determining factors to why we have them and if the determining factor is not established, permanent results may not be possible. Please discuss this with your injector during your consultation.
