How does laser tattoo removal treatments work?
We use SharpLight’s advanced laser technology which targets the ink in the tattoo and applies localized pulses of light, aimed to decompose the tattoo’s pigment clusters. The pulsed light safety passes through the outer layer of the skin and is absorbed by the ink. The light is then converted to heat, which breaks the ink down into tiny particles. The body’s lymphatic system filters this out naturally over several weeks’ time, causing the tattoo to fade and eventually disappear.

A consultation is always required before treatment can occur.
Does removing a tattoo hurt?
The level of discomfort differs from person to person, and it depends on the size and location of the tattoo. Clients often say it is comparable to having a sunburn, however it is less painful than getting the initial tattoo. Topical anesthetic can be applied to help with client comfort.
How long does removing a tattoo take?
The number of treatments depends on the colour, size, depth and age of the tattoo. A consultation is required to determine the ideal number of treatments needed for the desired results. Sessions must be 6-8 weeks apart. While permanent tattoo removal is possible (which can take many sessions), some tattoos can only be lightened.
How long are treatments?
Treatment time depends on the size and number of tattoos being treated. Treatments are typically quick, taking 15 to 30 minutes. Full appointments are often 45 minutes, and a consultation is required prior to any first treatment.
When will I start to see results?
Clients typically start to see the tattoo start to fade within a few weeks. Full results depend on what a client’s goals are (tattoo fade or permanent tattoo removal) and on the size, colour and area(s) being treated. While permanent tattoo removal is possible, some tattoos cannot be fully removed only lightened.
What is the recovery time after treatment?
There is no downtime!
